Blanka Trappel

Blanca was a tiny dog with a spirit that filled the whole room. She carried the sun in her heart—stretching out in warm light whenever she could—but oh, how she also danced in the snow with joy.

Gentle and wise, she listened with a calm we trusted completely. We never needed a leash—she simply walked beside us, as if she always knew the way.

In 2011, she crossed the ocean with us from Germany.

One of our sweetest memories: when our girls played the piano, Blanca would sing along, as if her soul had its own melody to add to ours.

When she became a big sister, she stepped into the role with such grace. She welcomed the new puppy not with jealousy, but joy—guiding, sharing, teaching, as if love had only expanded in her heart.

Every homecoming was a celebration with her—her tail wagging, her eyes lighting up, reminding us that we were loved, always.

And when life was hard, she was there too—quiet, soft, and steady. A warm presence. A gentle comfort.

We loved her so deeply. And we miss her more than words can say.

Blanca loved to live. And oh, how beautifully she lived.
